Stephen Hanna Returns to Off-Broadway's Silence! The Musical

Ballet dancer Stephen Hanna will return to the role of Dream Hannibal in off-Broadway’s Silence of the Lambs parody Silence! The Musical beginning January 19 at the Elektra Theatre.

Hanna appeared as Older Billy in the original Broadway cast of the Tony-winning musical Billy Elliot. He later starred as Sid in the national tour of Come Fly Away. Hanna joined New York City Ballet in 1997, and in 2005 was promoted to the rank of principal dancer.

In Silence! The Musical, rookie FBI agent Clarice Starling matches wits with the brilliant but insane cannibal, Dr. Hannibal Lecter, in order to catch the mysterious serial killer known only as Buffalo Bill. Clarice faces her own demons while racing the clock to unlock Lecter’s clues before another innocent girl is killed and skinned by Buffalo Bill. Silence! features a book by Hunter Bell, music and lyrics by Jon and Al Kaplan, and direction and choreography by Tony winner Christopher Gattelli.

The cast of Silence! features Sean McDermott, David Ayers, Pamela Bob, Ashlee Dupré, Natalie Joy Johnson, Howard Kaye, Topher Nuccio, Ronica V. Reddick, Kimberly Stern and Doug Trapp.
